Hi friends! I’m so happy to finally be back on the blog. Things were crazy for me for a while so, let’s re-kick off the blog with what I have been up to!

Best event i’ve been to recently:
Uncle Nearest Whiskey in NYC

A couple weeks ago I went to a great event introducing NYC to Uncle Nearest whiskey. At the event we got to learn the incredible story of “Uncle” Nearest Green (my short one here does not do it justice), who was a slave in Lynchburg, Tennessee in the 1800’s. Who worked for his owner making the best whiskey around. And when he was free he continued to create the best whiskey and eventually taught none other then Jack Daniels how to make as well. Uncle Nearest’s story is very moving and one that needs to be told. So, the company created a short film to show the world. You can watch that film here.

I was super moved by the story/film and I LOVE brands/products with great stories behind them. It makes me want to buy them even more. After the film, we heard from the star, actor Jeffrey Wright. And I got to try some cocktails! And well friends tbh, I am not that big of a whiskey drinker but I really enjoyed these cocktails, (no lies here!). The whiskey was smooth, went down easy and I really loved the taste. Overall, it was a great event with a great product/story and I would recommend trying this whiskey next time you need a bottle. My current obsession:
Jet home grocery delivery! I am OBSESSED. Living in a city, with no car and not close to a grocery store is my one pain point with where I live. But since I have discovered Jet my life has been so much easier! There online grocery shopping experience is easy and there prices are incredible! So much lower then when I go to my regular grocery store. You can even buy pharmacy items, pantry, pet, baby and household items…anything honestly. You can order one or two days before and sign up for a 4 hour delivery window. It has been a game changer for me and right now there doing free delivery if you spend over $35 (no, this is not sponsored, i’m just that into it).

Best place i’ve eaten in NYC recently:
EASY, I went to the RH Rooftop in Meatpacking about a month ago and it was all the rage. Crazy long wait (they don’t take reservations) but the food and drinks were great. The decor and space blew me away though. And the best part is, they have an amazing outdoor space. That is where you will find me all summer long. (post coming soon!)
