Another weekend, another chance to try a new restaurant on my list! This past weekend it was Old Rose. I’ve had my eye on this spot for a while now and was excited to check it out. Old Rose in located in the West Village, inside the Jane Hotel and has view of the Hudson River.

The restaurant mainly serves Italian cuisine but also features some classic American dishes. Along with Brunch, they also have Lunch, Dinner and Late night menus.

One thing I loved about Old Rose (besides the food, which is cominggg) was the incredible decor. I love how bright the space is, the greenery and the hints of gold. I wish I could design my future house to look like Old Rose!!

When we first got there, we ordered some Prosecco and coffee. For food, we ordered the Egg Sandwich, Brunch Pizza and a side of bacon.

The Egg Sandwich has proscuitto cotto, soft scrambled egg, parmesan, sundried peppers, calabrian chili aioli, english muffin, served with fried fingerling potatoes.

The Brunch Pizza had egg, guanciale, smoked potato and mozzarella.

And the reviews areeeee…GOOD!

The Egg Sandwich was spicy though so if you can’t handle heat, make sure to ask for no chili aioli. The fingerling potatoes were bomb also. When it came to the Brunch Pizza, I really enjoyed it but the scary thing is I actually didn’t think the smoked potato was needed! And I took most of it off. (never said that about a potato before). But overall having pizza for breakfast was super fun, the ambiance of the restaurant was very calming and enjoyable and I can’t wait to go back and have dinner someday!
